I can&#8217;t remember seeing blooms on these before February. Hoping frost doesn&#8217;t kill them. Daffodils, aka <strong>Narcissus<\/strong> or <strong>Jonquils<\/strong>, have been my favorite flowers since I was a child. I would watch the dull hillsides for their fast growing green tips to burst through the fallen leaves. My Mom called them <strong>Easter Lilies<\/strong>, as many people do in the mountains of Western North Carolina, because they usually bloomed there at Easter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/georgiagalgardens.com\/?attachment_id=122\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-122\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"771\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/georgiagalgardens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/DSCN0279-771x1024.jpg\" alt=\"1stDaffy\" class=\"wp-image-122\" srcset=\"https:\/\/georgiagalgardens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/DSCN0279-771x1024.jpg 771w, https:\/\/georgiagalgardens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/DSCN0279-226x300.jpg 226w, https:\/\/georgiagalgardens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/DSCN0279-624x828.jpg 624w, https:\/\/georgiagalgardens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/DSCN0279.jpg 1939w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">If you get close enough, most have a fantastic sweet smell. I love to cut and bring them inside to enjoy their beauty and scent.
