“A Bleak Christmas“
is an interesting research and opinion paper that I wrote that also deals with literacy.
I used two Dickens novels, A Christmas Carol and Bleak House, as well as the The Parliamentary Papers: Children’s Employment Commission Reports, to create a persuasive argument about Dickens as a social reformer novelist.
I wrote this the first semester I went back to college, and it showed when I reread it today. I can see that my writing has evolved significantly. I think it needs more editing, but here it is anyway.
